Securing asset information
Kelda Water Services were faced with the huge task of sorting and capturing the information contained in close to 2000 paper drawings of sites in north-east Scotland. Some of the legacy drawings were over 100 years old, with thousands of modifications, additions and re-working of the sites over the years.
Concentrating on one major site, the Ideality/4C team, together with Marine Design International, sorted the huge pile of drawings, scanned and digitised the information and created a catalogue for reference and storage. This is the first stage of migration of this invaluable information towards full CAD compatibility.
